What is AdvisorFinder?
AdvisorFinder is an online platform used by families and individuals to find a financial advisor for their unique needs. Each financial advisor has a profile page that helps people learn more about the advisors' clientele, services, backgrounds, and more. AdvisorFinder is not a financial advisor and does not employ financial advisors.
How does AdvisorFinder work?
You can think of AdvisorFinder as a search engine to find a financial advisor. Filter for different advisors based on what you need help with or other criteria you’re looking for. Then, you can contact any advisor you choose. For this to happen, financial advisors create their own profiles.
Is there a fee to use AdvisorFinder?
Using AdvisorFinder to search for and connect with financial advisors is completely free for consumers. Financial advisors pay a subscription fee to be listed on the platform.
What types of advisors are on AdvisorFinder?
There are financial advisors from hundreds of firms around the United States. You can find advisors with differing backgrounds and specializations, from those working for small firms to those working for the largest firms.
How do I know if an advisor is licensed?
Every financial advisor must have a CRD number, which can be found on FINRA’s BrokerCheck or the SEC’s IAPD. You can access any financial advisor’s SEC IAPD record by clicking on their AdvisorFinder profile and viewing the Proof of License section.
Is my personal data safe on AdvisorFinder?
Yes. AdvisorFinder takes information security very seriously and follows strict policies and procedures. Additionally, AdvisorFinder never sells your information to anyone, including financial advisors. You are the only person who can share your contact information with an advisor on the platform.
Is my information sent to advisors without my consent?
No, your information will only be shared with financial advisors when you choose to contact them or book a consultation.
